26 Ιαν Empowering Greece’s Green and Digital Skills Ecosystem for a Sustainable Habitat through the HABITABLE Alliance in Greece!
The HABITABLE Alliance in Greece is a newly established partnership operating in the framework of the HABITABLE Project (Erasmus+ CoVE). It brings together stakeholders from academia, vocational education and training (VET), and industry to strengthen skills development in the habitat sector. The Alliance was formally launched in October 2025 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly, DIMITRA Education and Consulting S.A., and Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE).
Looking beyond the project’s lifetime, the Alliance aims to anchor, scale and maximise the sustainability of the HABITABLE Project’s tools and methodologies in Greece, supporting the implementation of green and digital transition, fostering inclusion, and strengthening the operability of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) at a national level. In the coming months, the Alliance will welcome new Greek stakeholders from academia, vocational education and training, and industry who are interested in joining this dynamic national platform for cooperation, skills innovation, and excellence in the habitat sector.
The HABITABLE Project is an Erasmus+ CoVE initiative that addresses skills gaps in the habitat sector related to the green and digital transition. By bringing together VET institutions, SMEs and universities, and by establishing a transnational network of COVEs, HABITABLE builds up a coherent set of tools and methodologies to enhance excellence in vocational education and training!
