CluBE participates at the Adriatic Wood Days Conference at Dubrovnik

CluBE participates at the Adriatic Wood Days Conference at Dubrovnik as guests of the Croatian Wood Cluster and the Competence Centre for Research and Development (CEKOM) with our Manager Νικόλαος Ντάβος (Nikolaos K. Ntavos) and the Members of our Board of Directors, Professor George Ntalos and Chliapas Michalis.

We will also participate at the #ROSEWOOD Thematic Workshop about strengthening wood sectorial capacities.

CluBE is a member of ROSEWOOD East Europe Hub for Sustainable Wood Mobilisation. All countries of the Hub are rich in natural resources especially forests, with great potential for supplying sustainable wood to Europe’s bio economy.

Nevertheless, there are several challenges in the field of wood mobilisation regarding the implementation of new technologies for wood utilization and the wood industry, the uptake of innovations and transfer of scientific knowledge into practice and into public policies as well as regarding the adoption of the European regulatory framework and access to funding sources.

While the ROSEWOOD Network reinforces efforts of local actors advocating for stronger support by forestry policies, several best practices from other regions of the Network could help boosting competitiveness of the sector.

In January 2020 we will also start our newly funded #H2020 project ROSEWOOD 4.0 (EU Network of Regions on Sustainable Wood Mobilisation Ready for Digitisation), the continuation of ROSEWOOD.
